MORAY figures pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth in the aftermath of her death.

The 96-year-old monarch has passed away at her Balmoral estate on Royal Deeside.

In a statement at 6.30pm Buckingham Palace said: "The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral this afternoon."
