New name for Peterhead merged nurseries is celebrated
The newly joined Dales Park and Meethill nurseries in Peterhead are ready for the new term under the name of Greenacres.
The new name unveiling was held at the Berryden Road site which comes with three playrooms, a sensory room and quiet room and has space for up to 96 children.
Aberdeenshire Council quality improvement manager Julia Matthew said: “It has been wonderful working with Fiona Hepburn and Jaqueline Turner and their staff teams from Dales Park and Meethill nurseries as they planned the merger of the two settings.
“The passion and professionalism of all staff and their desire to get it right for children and families has meant that the process has been very smooth.
“The new Greenacres team are looking forward to delivering Early Learning and Childcare together as one staff from August 2024.”
Early years senior practitioner Jacqueline Turner said: “We have been delighted to support the merger of Meethill and Dales Park Nurseries and have worked hard to ensure this has been a positive experience for all children, families and staff members.
“The new name Greenacres ELC is the next exciting step in our merger journey and we look forward to being fully integrated by the start of the new school session.”
