Matt Damon spotted with Buckie Thistle shirt in hand during stay in Moray
Hollywood star Matt Damon has been spotted with a Buckie Thistle shirt in hand during his stay in Moray.
Damon, who is in the area filming scenes for blockbuster film The Odyssey, was seen walking around Buckie with the Jags’ yellow away shirt in his hand.
The 54-year-old, who is playing the starring role of Odysseus in the film, has been spotted in and around Moray on several occasions - with several people noting how friendly he has been.
Filming on The Odyssey is taking place at several locations in Moray, including Burghead and Culbin Forest, with Damon first spotted not far from Findlater Castle, near Cullen, last week.
He was then pictured after an afternoon go-karting at Smart Kart Raceway with his family and Lhanbryde, before being pictured leaving a gym in Buckie - with a Jags shirt - on Wednesday afternoon.
Matt Damon is not Buckie’s first famous fan - author Stephen King mentioned the Jags in his novel If It Bleeds and was then sent a shirt by the club.
Buckie Thistle legend Hamish Munro is celebrating his testimonial match against Aberdeen at Victoria Park on Saturday (July 5).
Whether he will have celebrity support for the match remains to be seen!
