A CAMPAIGN to curb underage drinking has received £27,000 in funding.
The money will allow Operation Avon, which has been running for eight years, to continue into 2013.
Moray Drugs and Alcohol Partnership has donated the cash, which will see police carry out additional weekend patrols, specifically aimed at dealing with underage drinking.
Since April over 260 young people being dealt with, and hundreds of bottles of alcohol have been seized from under 18s.
