Latest pictures show progress on efforts to reopen the A90





Amey North East Trunk Roads latest images posted on social media show that work is continuing with efforts to reopen the A90.

In a post they commented: "Our teams are continuing work clearing up the A90 by tidying up filter drain material washed onto the network near Inverarity and Gateside in Angus.

"The filter drain stones will be removed within the next hour."

Work is also continuing to resolve flooding at Finavon as diversions remain in place.

Traffic Scotland's latest update at 1.25pm indicates that part of the A90 is now open with local access allowed from Dundee to Brechin.

At present the road remains closed in both directions from Forfar to Stonehaven.
