The Pitstop cafe on the A96 is appealing for help from its customers.

In an update to an appeal made yesterday for help from customers after a banking issue saw a weeks worth of card payments returned to customers, owners Kenny and Katie Meldrum have said there has been some progress.

The couple said: "Thank you so much to everyone for your support.

"After 24 hours of horrible stress and hassle we have managed to get some money back from the bank, but not all of it.

"We would hugely appreciate our customers from last week checking their accounts for a refund, although you are under no obligation to return the money.

"The good news is that we will be opening this weekend.

"We look forward to seeing lots of you and thank you once again for your fantastic community support, it means so much to us."

The Pitstop, aka Roy's Bus has been a landmark for travellers on the A96 for decades and has a well deserved reputation for its breakfast offerings.
