New tour dates announced by comedy farmer Jim Smith
Fans of farming and laughs are in for a treat as everyone’s favourite comedy farmer Jim Smith has announced new tour dates.
Following on from the huge success of his last Back To The Teuchter tour, Perthshire farmer and comedian Jim Smith is set to don his checked shirt again as he returns with his brand new show, The Hills Have Ayes for a three date sell-out Aberdeen and Dundee run of performances at the end of this month.
And now, to the delight of his huge following, he has now announced extra dates next October due to the phenomenal demand.
He will perform at Aberdeen's Music Hall on Friday, October 6, 2023. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, October 28 at 10am from the Aberdeen Performing Arts website.
With his trademark mix of regional accents and impressions, Jim will share his tales of Scottish rural life and anecdotes from his changing world which has seen him get engaged, become a first time father and continue farming through Covid and Brexit.
Whether you live out in the sticks or embrace city life, there’s something for everyone as this teuchter tours the country once again. Warning: may contain neeps!
Promoter Doug Taylor said: “We’re completely thrilled to be announcing these extra dates for Jim’s new show.
"The demand to see his latest tour has been absolutely phenomenal and we expect tickets for these new dates to be snapped up in no time at all when they go on sale on Friday.”
After catching the comedy bug writing sketches for the Young Farmers panto and making his comedy debut five years ago, Jim is now one of Scotland's biggest comedy stars.
Still a working farmer in Perthshire, Jim's unique insight into rural living coupled with his sharp observational humour, has allowed him to create hilarious shows from his day to day life.
With sell out Fringe runs and national tours under his belt, when he is not on the farm Jim is in demand as a performer all over Scotland.
