Investigation continues after Peterhead death

The death of a 52 year old man in Peterhead is being investigated.

The emergency services were called to Ives Road in the town yesterday evening.

Police Scotland says officers are conducting inquiries at the scene.

Emergency services were called to the incident around 9.30pm on Sunday with local residents posting on social media of a heavy police presence in the area.

A police cordon was put in place at both ends of the town centre street, and residents have reported a “white tent” in the street.

UPDATE: 10.45am - Police have confirmed that three men aged 21, 22 and 27 have been arrested in connection with the man's death and enquiries are ongoing.
