Matt Damon caught on camera leaving Moray film set linked to The Odyssey
Hollywood star Matt Damon has been caught on camera leaving a Moray set linked to a major new film.
The actor was spotted near Findlater Castle, near Cullen, which is among the filming locations of new Christopher Nolan film The Odyssey.
A reworking of Homer’s ancient Greek epic The Odyssey, Mr Damon is playing the starring role of Odysseus in the film.
The currently-bearded American star is famous for playing countless major roles in films like Jason Bourne series, Good Will Hunting, The Martian and Oppenheimer.
He was pictured in the passenger seat of a black Mercedes Benz, which sped away from the crew’s base near the ruined Findlater Castle.
Mr Damon had previously been seen visiting the Cullen Antiques Centre on Seafield Street.
Two other The Odyssey stars have also pictured in Moray.
Actors Rafi Gavron - who acted alongside Lady Gaga in A Star is Born - and Will Yun Lee - who was in The Wolverine, among others - were spotted in Elgin Italian restaurant Scribbles.
Along with Findlater Castle, filming for the movie is also set to take place at Culbin and crews have set up bases at Burghead and Buckie harbours.
