Banff Fire Station festive donations benefit charities
A fire station has presented donations to charities which were collected during its festive fundraiser in December.
The crew in Banff and Santa went round the community during the week before Christmas for its annual collection.
A total of £3913 was raised by the firefighters which will benefit a variety of groups.
A Banff Fire Station spokesman said: “We once again had the pleasure of handing over the money raised from our annual Christmas charity collection to our very worthwhile chosen charities.
“We were truly blown away by the support from the communities of Banff, Whitehills, Ladysbridge and beyond this year and we are incredibly grateful we managed to raise a grand total of £3913.
“This has broke the record with it being the most we have ever raised in a year.
“Thank you all so much for contributing.
“The charities which have all received a share of the funds raised are Fire Fighters Charity, North East Scottish Fire Heritage Trust, Banff Day Opportunities, Whitehills Toddlers, Friends of Anchor and Young Lives vs Cancer.
“From the crew at Banff and all the chosen charities, a huge thank you to everyone who donated.
“We look forward to seeing you all once again this Christmas.”
