Coronavirus update: On the anniversary of lockdown, cases remain at low levels in Aberdeenshire





Scotland saw 495 positive cases in the last 24 hours an increase from the previous day's total of 359

This equated to 3.6 per cent of those tested (3.7 the previous day).

A total of seven new deaths were noted in the last 24 hours with Covid as a contributing factor.

The NHS Greater Glasgow area saw 143 cases (135), Lanarkshire 102 (54) and Lothian 107 (46).

NHS Grampian saw 28 cases (25) while NHS Highland saw six (four).

The NHS Grampian area recorded 187 cases in the last seven days taking the overall total to 14,071.

Public Health Scotland's most up to date figures cover the seven days between March 14 and March 20 and show Aberdeenshire recorded 84 cases (up from 81) which equated to 1.4 per cent of all tests carried out (equal) and a positive test rate of 32.2 per 100,000 population of (up from 31.0).

For the same time period, Aberdeen City saw 75 cases (equal) equating to 1.4 per cent of all tests (equal) and positive test rate of 32.8 per 100,000 (equal).

In the daily area figures case numbers show a wider spread of low level cases in areas which have emerged in the past few days.

The largest cluster in the Rosehearty area has remained static after climbing for several days as has an increase is Ellon east.
