Coronavirus update: Positive cases increase after drop

In Scotland in the last 24 hours there have been a total of 798 positive cases (which equates to 3.9 per cent of those tested overall), a notable increase on yesterday's reported figures.

NHS Greater Glasgow saw 224 cases while Lothian saw 133, Lanarkshire 120 and Forth Valley 100.

The remaining cases are spread throughout Scotland.

NHS Grampian saw 47 cases while NHS Highland saw a further 19 cases.

In the seven days to February 21 there were 97 cases in Aberdeenshire (37.1 per 100,000) and 62 in Aberdeen City (27.1 per 100,000) .

There were 47 deaths recorded in Scotland with Covid-19 as a contributing factor in the last 24 hours.
The rate of positive cases has risen across much of the mainland in the past 24 hours attributing to the national jump in cases.
