A youth group which has brought light to Turriff throughout lockdown is preparing to return this weekend.
Light House Youth Club provides a space for pupils in S1-6 to socialise on Friday evenings between 7pm and 9pm.
To celebrate returning for the first time since before last March's lockdown, the youth club are inviting the town's youth to join them for a barbecue on Friday, August 13.
Based in 52 Balmellie Place (Turra Market premises), Light House Youth Club is free to attend and boasts facilities for video games, sports, pool or just relaxing with friends.
During lockdown the group organised the delivery of gifts to various people who were nominated by the community as being deserving of a gift from Santa, and they also organised an Easter egg hunt for youngsters on Easter Sunday.
They also co-ordinated and delivered shoeboxes with gifts to some of those struggling most throughout lockdown.
The group are also excited to announce that they will be opening their doors to Light House Community Church on Saturday, August 14.
On Saturday they will have a free family open day - which is open for anybody to attend - between 4-7pm, which will include a barbecue (from 5pm), games, glitter tattoos and a toddler corner.
There will also be a speaker and music from 5.30pm.
