Home-Start Deveron has benefited from a £7500 donation raised by a summer event.

The money was raised through a ladies day event organised by the Turriff Show committee, with all of the money raised divided between Clan Cancer Support, Home-Start Deveron and Turriff And District Agricultural Association.

The charity is currently working to establish a hub in Turriff so that their support offering will be easier for local families to access.

Home-Start Deveron help families in the Deveron valley facing challenges, including but not limited to: rural and social isolation, post natal depression, disability, chronic or terminal illness, substance misuse and domestic abuse.

Their current focus is on finding a suitable premises from which to host meetings and organise small group sessions, following which they will need to establish a Turriff Hub co-ordinator.

The group are also keen to welcome more Trustees from the Turriff area.
