AYRES (Buckie/ Barrhead). With sadness, Sqn/Ldr Victor Ayres (retired) of the Royal Air Force, passed away in Dr Gray's Hospital Elgin, on Sunday, February 28th, 2021, after recently suffering a short non-covid related illness, aged 75 years. Devoted husband to the late Frances, loving father and grandfather, cherished friend to many, he will be sadly missed. "Clear skies and tailwinds Dad". Funeral service was private due to current health guidelines.

Very suddenly, at Dr Gray's Hospital, Elgin on Wednesday 3rd March, 2021, Matthew Peter, aged 38 years. dearly loved son of Jackie and Colin Murray and the late Peter Innes, loving dad of Jared, much loved brother of Alana, Joash, Amber and Katie, beloved partner of Nikaella and best pal of Paris, a precious grandson, uncle, cousin and friend of many. Peacefully at Abbeyvale Nursing Home, Elgin on Tuesday 2nd March, 2021, Margaret Downie (nee Findlay), aged 98 years, beloved wife of the late Sandy, much loved mum of Sandy Jnr, dear mother-in-law to Bertha, devoted grannie to Sarah and Laura and great grannie to Chloe, Matthew, Caitlyn and Lewis. Due to government regulations a private funeral service will be held. Margaret is resting at A D Walker Rest Rooms, Banff.

STUART Peacefully at North Inch Care Home, Perth, on Monday, 1st March, 2021, William Bruce, aged 93 years, beloved husband of Margaret (Annie), formerly of Keith and Zimbabwe, a much loved brother, brother-in-law, uncle and great-uncle who will be sadly missed. Donations can be made in memory of William to Alzheimer's Scotland and Cornhill Macmillan Centre, Perth. Funeral private due to current restrictions.

Peacefully, at Turriff Cottage Hospital, on Tuesday, 2nd March, 2021, Sandra Anne Sangster (nee Robertson) aged 80 years, 28 Delgaty Terrace, Turriff, (former teacher Markethill Primary School) beloved wife of the late Graham Sangster, loving mother of Craig and Colin and mother-in-law of Lyndsay and Judith a doting grandma of Daniel and Libby and a dear sister and aunt. By her own request funeral is to be private.

GILL (Turriff). Suddenly at Balhousie Care Home, Huntly, on Wednesday, February 24, 2021, Gladys Gill (nee Mitchell) in her 93rd year, dearly loved and devoted wife of the late John George (Dod) Gill. Dear mum of Iris, John and Anthony, respected mother-in-law of Helen, Hilda and the late Terry, a proud granny and great-granny. Will be sorely missed. Funeral private due to current restrictions. DRYDEN (Banff/ Haltwhistle). Very peacefully, following a short illness at ARI, on Monday, February 22, 2021, Elizabeth (Betty nee Gray) aged 72 years. Devoted wife of the late Alan, much loved mother and respected mother-in-law, proud nana and great-nana, devoted sister and auntie. Sadly missed. ELLINGTON Doctor Marc Floyd Ellington 6/12/45 to 17/02/21. After a life lived to the fullest, the well known and loved Marc Ellington of Towie Barclay died peacefully at his family home on Wednesday 17th February, 2021, aged 75. He is survived by his wife Karen, daughters Iona and Kirstie, sister Noni and his beloved grandson's Archie, Hugo, Angus and Hamish. Marc's funeral will be a private ceremony due to the current restrictions.

DENNISTOUN (Banff). Suddenly, at home on Saturday 13th February, 2021, Douglas (Dougie), aged 86 years, beloved husband of the late Betty, much loved dad of Elaine, Stuart, Gordon and Scott and loving father-in-law to Donald, Carmen, Tracey and Susan and devoted grandpa to Ross, Stuart, Jill, Drew, Tate, Chloe, Amy, Kirsty and Hayden, a dear brother, brother-in-law, uncle and a great friend over the years to many. Peacefully at Turner Memorial Hospital, Keith, on Monday, 15th February, 2021, after a long illness bravely borne, Jill, aged 55 years, beloved partner of David, much loved mum of Bruce and Gail, granny to Ferne and Baby Freya, loving daughter of Ian and Elizabeth and loving sister of Jane and Ian. Funeral private at her own request.

STRATFORD (Huntly). Eric James, died peacefully at home after a short illness, bravely borne on Monday, February 15, 2021, aged 81 years. Loving and loved husband of Linda, dad and granda, dear brother-in-law, uncle and cousin. Sadly missed. Due to current restrictions Eric's funeral will be private. ROBERTSON Sheena, graduated MA from Kings College, Aberdeen University in 1945, married to the late Eric Pickford and daughter of the late Robert Robertson of R. Robertson Hairdresser, High Street, Turriff, sadly passed away on Thursday 31st December, 2020, in Hastings, East Sussex aged 96. Sheena remembered growing up in Turriff with great affection all her life. She is deeply missed by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchild.

BROWN Peacefully, at home, on Thursday, February 11, 2021, Irvine McArthur, aged 100 years. Beloved husband of Evelyn, a much loved dad to Stephen, Stuart and Irvine, an adored father-in-law, grandad, great-granda, uncle and a good friend to all who knew him. Esther, aged 89 years, passed away peacefully at Alexanders Scott's on Sunday, February 7, 2021, beloved wife of the late Davie, much loved mam of George, David and John, dear mother-in-law of Carol, Laura and Vicki, adored grandma to her seven grandchildren and to her seven great-grandchildren also a dear sister and sister-in-law.
