The first ever NEOS pop up event took place across the north-east to help shoppers find the perfect, one-of-a-kind gift.

NEOS - North East Open Studios - is an annual free event which sees artists, crafters and creators from a wide range of mediums put their work on show to the public for two weeks every autumn.

Amongst the mediums on show are painting, drawing, photography, jewellery making, glass art, woodwork, textile work and pottery.

NEOS has continued to grow in popularity with both creators and visitors over the years, with each year being bigger than the previous.

The committee who organise the annual creative extravaganza decided to trial a new event this year in addition to the annual NEOS festival in September - a Christmas Pop-Up.

While not every creator who took part in the autumn event was part of the pop-up event - which provided visitors with a perfect opportunity to pick up unique, hand crafted items ahead of the gift-giving season - however many were quick to sign up to take part.

In all over 130 creative individuals and groups took part in the pop-up event, with many hailing it a success.
