The Christmas message was given the Turriff Primary School special treatment as St Ninians and Forglen Church welcomed the whole school for their Nativity.

Along with parents and family members, the busy church saw the enthusiastic youngsters from Primary 1 take centre stage for the retelling of the Chirstmas story.

Entitled The Inn Keepers Breakfast, the poor put upon inn keeper never gets a chance to start his meal as people are always knocking on his door, either looking for a room or in turn looking for the newborn Jesus.

Pupils produced their own special programme of service which they illustrated and used to explain both the order of service and the learning outcomes they have been involved with.

This has included learning lines, talking clearly, learning words to several songs as well as practising their acting in front of an audience.

They also showcased their Makaton signing skills.
