Appeal after car theft

Police Scotland are appealing for witnesses after the theft of a vehicle from a farm near Turriff.

The black Toyota Hilux pickup, registration SV08 HVZ, was stolen from the Muiryfold area near Turriff sometime between 4pm on Saturday, December 21 and 10am on Sunday, 22.

It was later recovered on Ash Hill Drive in Aberdeen around 6pm on Sunday

Inquiries are ongoing and officers are appealing to anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Constable Craig Bruce said: "Anyone who may have seen any people or vehicles acting suspiciously near the property overnight, or who saw the vehicle at any point after 4pm on Saturday to let us know.

"You can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 1561 of 22 December, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
