Brechin City's Grady McGrath is the front runner in the Highland League goal scoring charts this season.

But high-scoring Brora Rangers already have four players with at least nine goals to their name.

McGrath was the league's top marksman in all competitions last season, his 35 strikes helping Brechin to win the title.

This term he has clocked up 16 goals in all competitions, almost exactly half of his club's entire tally.

Jordan MacRae's first half double for Brora in Saturday's Highland League Cup semi-final victory over Keith took him to 12 goals.

That puts him level with Fraserburgh's Sean Butcher, who netted the opener in their 3-0 league success over Turriff at the weekend.

MacRae is under pressure from three team-mates just to top the Cattachs' charts, with Andy Macrae, Paul Brindle and Max Ewan all netting nine times in a high scoring start for the Sutherland side.

Leading scorers (all competitions)

-16 Grady McGrath (Brechin City)

-12 Jordan MacRae (Brora Rangers), Sean Butcher (Fraserburgh)
