A trip to Turriff had been scheduled for the Jags but the incessant rain since Friday evening saw The Haughs bear more of a resemblance to a swimming pool the next day rather than a football ground.

Thistle are due back in action this Saturday, weather permitting, when Forres Mechanics will be the visitors at Victoria Park.

Initial doubts over the pitch due to the heavy rain, plus the fact that the visitors had to travel up from near Bathgate in West Lothian, saw Rovers Scottish Junior Cup tie postponed early in the day.

The match is now due to be replayed this coming Saturday at Merson Park, kick-off scheduled for 2.30pm.
