Turriff United sign striker Fergus Alberts

Turriff United have signed striker Fergus Alberts from Inverurie Locos.

Alberts (20) agreed a two-and-a-half-year contract to join The Haughs side.

He has also had spells at Huntly and junior side Montrose Roselea.

United said in the club announcement: "We are delighted to welcome Fergus to The Haughs and he will go straight into the match day squad for this weekend's game against Deveronvale."

Inverurie Locos said: "Fergus Alberts has completed his transfer to Turriff United and departs Harlaw Park with the best wishes of everyone.

"Fergus has had an exemplary attitude throughout his time at the Locos, both on and off the park."
