It was a night to remember for Turriff United in the Aberdeenshire Cup with a ten-goal romp at Aberdeen University sending them through to the semi-finals.

Dean Donaldson's side showed no mercy on their junior hosts with a devastating display of firepower, led by five-goal striker Ewan Clark.

Clark netted his first competitive goal for the club and went on to score three more before half time with Callan Gray also on target.

Clark then added his fifth of the night from the penalty spot before being replaced by Kyle Gordon on 56 minutes.

Gordon picked up where Clark left off, scoring a hat-trick and Aaron Reid added his fifth goal of the season to bring up the double figures.

Both Fraserburgh and Inverurie Locos clocked up double digits in a marathon penalty shoot-out at Bellslea Park.

Rob Ward fired Locos into a half time lead with Scott Barbour levelling to take the tie into a shoot-out.

Kieran Simpson missed Broch's second kick and Ward failed to score Locos' fourth, with Barbour, Paul Campbell, Sean Butcher and Bryan Hay netting for the home side and Taylor Thain, Callum Dingwall, Greg Mitchell and Jamie Michie finding the net for Inverurie.

Into sudden death, the rest of Fraserburgh's and Inverurie's outfield players all scored and even goalkeepers Andy Reid (Locos) and Joe Barbour (Broch) were successful to take the score to 10-10.

Thain then missed his kick second time round but so did Barbour for Broch, and when Dingwall also missed his second penalty for the visitors it was left to Simpson to atone for his earlier miss by scoring the kick that sent Fraserburgh through to the last four.

Turriff now host Fraserburgh in the semi-finals.

Formartine United missed a first half penalty, then trailed Deveronvale after an hour to a Matt Jamieson goal.

However, the Pitmedden men hit back with two goals in four minutes from Mark Gallagher and Scott Lisle to book their semi-spot.

In the last four Formartine will host Huntly or Aberdeen, whose quarter-final has been put back to August 30.
