IN their first season in the Banff Winter Astro League, Keith’s P3 team finished as league runners-up. The final games of the season were played last Saturday at the Princess Royal Park.

Nine teams were still involved in the league through to the end of the season, giving the Keith and District Youth League P3 side eight games in total.

They won seven out of the eight, beaten only once by host side Deveron Sharks.

The little Keith sports stars picked up their trophies on Saturday, along with proud team coaches Alastair Mackie, Scott McKenzie and Gary Dalgarno.

Paying tribute to the team the coaches said they wanted to thank the lads for their dedication, going out in all weathers during the hibernation season. They also passed on their thanks to the parents for their support.
