Ellon welcomed Bridge of Don Thistle to the Meadows for an eagerly awaited McBookie League Match.

The game started as a fairly evenly contested affair but it was the vistors who were looking the more threatening and on ten minutes they took the lead with a clinical finish.

Ellon battled hard to get themselves back in the game but after some poor defensive play the ball broke to the visitors who after two or three passes were quickly in on goal and their striker slotted the ball home to give them a 2-0 lead at half-time.

The second half was a fairly scrappy affair but again the visitors were looking the more comfortable on the ball and midway through the second half, a ball from the left was tucked away nicely which gave Bridge of Don a 3-0 which they held on to until the referee blew for full time
