In a bad weekend for north sides, Buckie Thistle and Banks O' Dee made it through in two all-Highland League ties.

Fraserburgh, Formartine United, Brechin City and Wick Academy all won through against south pyramid opponents and learned their fate in Sunday's draw.

Buckie needed an early Marcus Goodall double to squeeze past Lossiemuth on Saturday, with the Coasters getting a goal back through Ross Archibald's header and pushing close to an equaliser.

Jags will now host Open Goal Broomhill, the club which ousted Brora Rangers 3-2 in extra time on Friday night.

Wick are at home to Benburb following their impressive 5-1 success at home to Lochee United.

Brechin won by the same margin at Jeanfield Swifts and now host Stirling Albion, who they recently knocked out of the SPFL Trust Trophy.

Rothes crashed to a 3-1 defeat at Carnoustie Panmure, who now welcome a second Highland League side to the east coast as they drew Formartine United, who beat East Stirlingshire 3-1.

Banks O' Dee's reward for a 4-0 win over Turriff United is a trip to Dunipace.

Fraserburgh's 2-1 success at Civil Service Strollers earned them a home shot at League 2 side Stranraer.

Camelon Juniors were 5-0 winners at Strathspey Thistle and now travel to Elgin City, with second round ties being played on the weekend of October 22.

Forres Mechanics fell to a surprise 3-2 defeat at home to Glasgow University and Keith were beaten 2-1 at home to Cumnock.

Deveronvale went down fighting 4-2 to Lowland League title chasers East Kilbride, and Huntly lost 6-0 at Pollok on Friday night.

Inverurie Locos lost 3-1 at Hill of Beath Hawthorn, Clach were beaten in extra time at Dunbar United and Nairn County went down 3-1 at home to Drumchapel.
