Thunderton headed from Elgin to Rothes on Tuesday night, buoyed by their own victory over leaders RAF Lossiemouth last Friday.

A ding-dong battle went the full distance with Rothes snatching a 5-4 victory in the last minute.

Doubles by Darren Irvine and Konrad Jankowski, and a strike by top scorer Reece Davies helped the home team to victory.

Jon Mallinson, Raymond Anderson and two from Kevin Stewart made up the Thunderton scoresheet.

The result took the Speysiders above Lhanbryde at the foot of the table and ended a run of six straight defeats.

Champions FC Fochabers were aiming for their sixth consecutive victory when they made the trip to Cullen.

But it was the home side who claimed all three points with a hard-fought 3-2 success.

Fochabers made the better start, dominating from kick-off and taking the lead on ten minutes when John Leggat broke behind the Cullen defence to slot home.

The visitors failed to capitalise after that, despite a couple of great chances to extend their lead.

A bright final 15 minutes of the half from Cullen saw them shift the momentum of the game, and were rewarded with a penalty kick following a hand ball inside the box. Kris Geddes stepped up to put his side level at the break with an emphatic finish.

Cullen continued into the second half with a new-found motivation and began creating more chances.

They took the lead midway through the half with Logan Mill bringing the ball down inside the box and calmly striking past the goalkeeper.

Fochabers responded well, and it needed some excellent saves from Cameron Bruce in the Cullen goal to preserve the home lead.

Mill had a great opportunity to seal the win late on for Cullen, but his lobbed effort was well caught by Fochabers goalkeeper Kieran Burchell.

The away side thought they had extended their unbeaten run when Andrew Walker nodded in his fourth goal of the season from a corner.

But there was to be a final sting in the tail, with Cullen scoring deep into injury time. Mill broke in from the right wing, firing the ball across goal for Kris Murray to poke in at the front post and snatch victory.

Aberlour Villa threatened to post a comfortable derby win over Craigellachie, who hit back in the second half but couldn't overturn Villa's big lead.

Four first half goals set dominant Aberlour up for their victory. The first was headed in by top scorer Kenzie Shepherd from a fine cross into the box on ten minutes.

Luke Gordon doubled the lead with a superb effort from outside the area which found the bottom corner.

Shepherd got his second with a neat finish and Gary Morrison made it 4-0 just before the break.

Craigellachie could easily have thrown in the towel but instead prooduced a battling second half show.

A slack passback from Villa's Shaun Robertson put Cameron Thomson in on goal and he beat keeper Paul Robertson, who had saved his first effort.

James McPherson grabbed another goal back late on in the game but Villa held on for a 4-2 win.
