A GROUP of skippers from Portsoy will be honing their skills this week in Belgium, where they will be guided by some of the best in the sport.

Members from Skip 2 The Beat are taking part in a summer camp which their coach hopes will progress them further so they can compete in both double Dutch (two ropes) and single rope freestyle events.

They will receive instruction from coaches who are either current or former world champions.

Coach Silvanna Matheson said: “There will be skippers from all over Europe attending, and Skip 2 The Beat will be the only club from the UK.
