Just as they did to Lhanbryde United on Friday, the 'Rockets' took off on a goal blitz against Rothes A to register their second consecutive 7-1 victory.

In both matches, Fochabers hit back from a goal down and produced their best form in the second half, with Jordan Clark netting a hat-trick as he did against Lhanbryde.

Rothes A now find themselves in bottom spot following Lhanbryde's surprising 4-2 success over Thunderton.

The Speysiders drew first blood at Fochabers thanks to Konrad Jankowski's third goal of the season on the half hour, a neat finish to complete a good break forward by the visitors.

Fochabers then did what they couldn't do against Lhanbryde and got back on level terms before half time, James Higgins heading home from a corner.

Top scorer Clark proceeded to score his third hat-trick of the season and John Gerrard chipped in with two goals including a penalty, with Higgins also netting his second to complete the rout.

Bottom side Lhanbryde trailed early on to a Martin Charlesworth goal putting Thunderton into the lead.

Play evened out with both teams creating chances until the 25th minute when Lhanbryde top scorer Jordi Mackie picked the ball up in his own half and ran all the way to the left hand side of the box and leathered the ball straight into the top corner to equalise.

Thunderton were back in the lead on 40 minutes when Kevin Fairweather found himself unmarked at the back post to tap in from a free kick.

Almost immediately the ball went up the other end of the park and found Mackie on the right side of the box, with his effort across goal being deflected in off a defender for 2-2.

There was some penalty drama in the second half with Thunderton being awarded a spot kick which Raymond Anderson comverted, only for the referee to disallow the goal for encroachment from a visiting player.

From the free kick Lhanbryde pounced upfield and a Craig Harrold cross hit a Thunderton arm for a second penalty, which Mackie converted to put his team ahead for the first time.

The home side soaked up Thunderton's pressure and on 81 minutes they added a fourth through captain Neil Owen's long range free kick which went in off the crossbar.

Aberlour Villa continued their winning run, coming back from two down for a 3-2 success at Cullen.

Cullen started the game the brighter of the two sides, and found the opening goal after 15 minutes with Callum Christie crossing from wide left to find the head of Logan Mill for his fifth goal of the season.

The home side extended their lead 10 minutes later, with Taylor Smith driving through on goal to slot past the goalkeeper.

Cullen were looking comfortable at that stage, but things began to unravel after a defensive error allowed Mikey Paterson to pull one back for Aberlour on the stroke of half-time.

Aberlour were the better side in the second half, and finally managed to find an equaliser after 65 minutes, with Cullen right-back Brodie Hutcheson turning a driven ball across goal into his own net.

Ten minutes later Aberlour took the lead, as a Michael Simpson free kick from the edge of the box found its way through the wall and beyond the goalkeeper.

Cullen had a chance late on to equalise after James Maliska was brought down in the box, but Iain Mair failed to convert from the spot as his effort skimmed over the crossbar.

Maliska was then sent off in the closing stages to add to the home team's misery.
