Buckie Thistle's Highland League title challenge took a dent on their return to Victoria Park.
Jags were beaten 3-2 at home to Clach with the winning penalty deep into stoppage time.
Graeme Stewart's side hadn't played at Victoria Park since November 18 because of drainage issues on their park.
It was passed playable for Saturday's game and with Jags on a fine run of form, they were expected to account for their second-bottom opponents.
It was going according to script when Lyall Keir swept Buckie into the lead on 19 minutes.
However, Calum MacLeod struck to level the scores just after the half hour.
Jags were struggling to find their flow and went behind to a Lewis Mackenzie goal just nine minutes from time.
The home side chased an equaliser and four minutes into stoppage time they were awarded a penalty, which Jack Muraay converted - seemingly to rescue a point.
However a late tackle in the box at the other end resulted in a Clach spot kick award and Connor Bunce kept his cool in the 96th minute to win it for the Inverness men with the final kick of the game.
