Participants welcomed for Aberdeenshire socially distanced duathlon events

Duathlon events will take place around Aberdeenshire over the next couple of months, following the latest Covid-19 Government and industry guidelines.

Limited entries are now available for:

• Huntly Duathlon (Run 5km/Bike 25km/Run 5km) – Sunday, September 20

• Knockburn Adult Duathlon (Run 5km/Bike 15km/Run 5km) – Sunday, October 25

• Knockburn Children’s Duathlon (Various Distances) – Sunday, October 25

• Inverurie Duathlon (Run 5km/Bike 21km/Run 5km) – Sunday, November 1

The usual event structure has been altered to allow for social distancing.

Full instructions will be emailed to all entrants in advance, but key changes include time trial starts, pre-entries only and no spectators.

Events will be chip timed, with live online results, full race medical first aid cover and refreshments will be provided.

Entrants will also get a memento to mark their participation.

The Live Life Aberdeenshire Events team aims to arrange safe and professionally organised events which retain a sense of fun, friendly atmosphere, are very inclusive, and great value for money.
