Meadows annual prize giving goes online

With the current lockdown restrictions and events unable to take place across the country, Ellon Meadows FC had to hold their end of season Prize Giving event online.

The club hold two Prize Giving events each year to celebrate the success of how well the teams have done that season.

The first one of the season takes place in November which focuses on their development teams and the girls competitive teams and the second ceremony for the boys competitive team is usually held in early June.

As the event landed in such unusual circumstance's this year due the the ongoing pandemic, the club decided to hold the awards via Zoom.

Each competitive boys team awards three trophies, the Coaches Player, The Tom Goodwin Memorial Award for Most Improved Player and the Players Player.

This years Competitive Boys winners for the 2019/2020 season were as follows;

2007's- Coaches Player - William Jubb-Clark; Players Player - Francisco Correia and Most Improved Player - Michael Junor

2004's- Coaches player - Robbie Neilson; Players Player - Ryan Alexander and Danny Smith and Most Improved - Aidan Cruickshank

2003's- Coaches Player - Lewis Smith; Players Player - Daniel McKean and Most Improved - Jacob Lowitt.

A separate award, The Club Person of The Year is voted for by all coaches and officials across each of the club teams and this year it has been awarded to chairman Alan MacDonald.
