Locos, who are expected to name Turriff boss Dean Donaldson as their new manager this week, handed interim boss Jamie Watt a winning finale by defeating Dyce 2-0 in Wednesday's first round.

Glen Donald scored midway through the first half and Sam Robertson sealed things up with 15 minutes to go.

They now host Buckie, who were beaten by Fraserburgh in last season's final and received a first round bye this year.

Fraserburgh exited the tournament at the first hurdle, beaten on penalties by a young Aberdeen side at Pittodrie.

Broch twice led through goals by Scott Barbour and Ryan Sargent, with Adam Emslie - who is currently on loan at Formartine - and Alfie Stewart levelling for the Dons.

Paul Young missed Fraserburgh's sixth penalty as Aberdeen won 5-4 in the shoot-out.

Aberdeen now host Turriff, who also received a first round bye.

Formartine beat Deveronvale on Tuesday and now host Banks O' Dee, who were made to work for a 4-3 win at Aberdeen juniors Hermes.

The home side led early on through a Jack Craig goal before Dee took command with goals by Kane Winton, two from Lachie Macleod and Michael Philipson.

Grant Rose and Bruno Paszkiewski pulled two back to make Dee sweat it out.

The last remaining quarter-final is between Keith, who received a walkover win over Elgin City, and Huntly who make the trip to Kynoch Park next Wednesday.
