The final night of 2019 for Ellon's popular chat show, 'A Night With' went off with a flourish at the Tolbooth with inspiring performances from ex-Aberdeen stars Joe Harper and Ian Taylor.

Harper, the Dons' all-time record goalscorer with 205 strikes over two spells, and Taylor, who played at Pittodrie from 1966 to 1974, talked about their time as professionals, before speaking about the modern game to the delight of the packed house.

The evening also served as a fundraiser for a mental health charity, and Tolbooth owner Martin Smith said: "Thanks to the generosity of the audience we raised nearly £200 for mental health, while providing first class entertainment under the skilled chairmanship of Jack Nixon our resident host.

"We will now take a break until February when we will once again have more well-known guests.”
