The 20-year-old has been farmed out to Kynoch Park for a second time by Cove having spent last season with the Maroons.

Manager Craig Ewen said he was delighted to bring back a player who has already impressed the fans at Keith as well as his fellow players.

"He won our players' player of the year so he was really strong for us," Ewen said.

"It is a good player added to the ranks and we are pleased to get him back.

"He is a good defender and he will add to the options we have.

"He’s not had much of a chance this season, he is always been on the bench at Cove.

"I’m not sure where he is with his fitness but we will find out."

"When we came in last August he was a wee bit off the pace then started doing extra sessions. He was effectively twice a week with Cove and twice with us so his fitness really improved especially over the second half of the season."

Thomas will be eligible to join the Keith squad in time for tomorrow night's Aberdeenshire Shield first round tie at home to Inverurie Locos.

Keith have also transfer-listed striker Scott Gray.
