Cammy Keith is all set for a Kynoch Park return.
But the bad news for Keith supporters is that the Maroons goalscoring legend is only coming out of retirement for a local charity match played next month.
The traditional Scotland v England veterans’ match in aid of Keith Cancer Link has recruited the services of record Keith goal-getter Cammy to spearhead the home team’s attack.
The striker netted 263 goals for Keith during a Highland League career which also included an additional 88 strikes for Formartine United.
He announced his retirement from football almost two years ago but will take his boots back off the peg for the special occasion on Saturday, May 6.
Also confirmed to play in the Scotland squad are ex-Forres Mechanics manager Charlie Rowley and current Caley Thistle coach Barry Wilson, whose father Bobby managed the Maroons in their heydey,
Ex-Buckie and Forres attacker Ryan Green and former Huntly title winner Eddie Copland will also play in a match played on May 6.
The match pits local legends up against a team from Catshill in the English Midlands run by former Keith native Gary Macpherson. Last year the event raised £18,000, split between the Keith charity and a hospice in the Midlands.
