The Highland League club successfully applied to the Scottish FA Grassroots Pitch and Facilities Fund and the Hill of Towie Community Benefit Fund for grant cash to help complete essential stadium work.

The money secured will now be used to upgrade the club's current halide floodlights to a new LED system, including new foundations and columns.

In addition, Keith FC recently completed a solar panel and Tesla battery installation project at Kynoch Park. The project was funded through a successful grant application to the Edintore Community Benefit Fund, which is funded by Koehler Renewable Energy.

Club director Grant McWilliam said the Maroons were delighted to receive the funding from the various bodies.

"This upgrade to our floodlights will not only improve the quality of our match-day experience, but it will also reduce our carbon footprint," he said.

"We are also grateful to Koehler Renewable Energy for their continued support of our club.

"Their funding allowed us to complete the solar panel and Tesla battery installation project, which has been a great addition to our facilities. We have seen a dramatic reduction in our operating costs since the project was completed."

The Scottish FA Grassroots Pitch and Facilities Fund is funded by the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS).

Representatives from Koehler Renewable Energy paid a visit to Kynoch Park to see the completed project and were given a tour by the club's vice-president Charlie Simpson. In appreciation of their support, Keith presented Koehler with a framed shirt.

The company's Senior Project Developer, Nick Forrest said: "We are pleased to see the positive impact that our funding has had on Keith FC's facilities.

"It is great to see the club's commitment to sustainability, and we are proud to have played a part in their journey."

Keith will begin the work on their new LED floodlights in April, with the project expected to be completed in tome for the start of next Highland League season.
