ON A FROSTY, floodlight Wednesday night, Keith won their first home league match of the season.

The Maroons rose above an early goal lost to Strathspey Thistle, to run out comfortable winners, their first league victory for three months.

Manager Craig Ewen rang the changes following the defeat at Lossiemouth, and apart from the opening 25 minutes, the incomers proved their worth.

Yet, they found themselves trailing after only five minutes. Michael MacKenzie slamming home from 15 yards.

Then, on the 15-minute mark, a let off for the Maroons when a Daniel Whitehorn 20-yarder cracked back off the post.

Keith began to settle into the game after that, creating chances and it was all square with 37 minutes on the clock, Jordan Cooper heading home his fourth goal of the season at the back post.

The Maroons dictated most of the second half, and took the lead four minutes in, Gavin Elphinstone rifling home his fourth goal of the season from 15 yards.

KEITH: Reid, Coull, Yeats (Cheyne), Smith (Addison), Robertson, Killoh, Elphinstone, Brownie, Cooper (Morrison), Tough (Taylor), Ironside (McKeown). Subs unused – Lynch, MacLeod.

Referee: Mr Kevin Buchanan
