Inverurie Locos have announced that forward Sam Robertson is returning manager Andy Low's first signing.

Robertson has had spells at Aberdeen, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Cove Rangers, Buckie Thistle and was latterly at Dyce FC.

It has made it a family affair at The Railwaymen with younger brother Lloyd also part of the squad.

Low is hoping to have Robertson available for selection in Saturday's home game against Fraserburgh.

Low said: “I am delighted to add Sam Robertson to the squad as he was a priority target of mine when being appointed the manager.

"Firstly, Dyce have been first class to deal with so I would like to thank them for their part in getting this done so swiftly with Sam attracting a lot of interest.

"Sam adds goals, aggression, pace and confidence to the squad and these were all areas I was looking to improve on.

"He has the flexibility to play in several positions in the front line and I see him being a big addition to the squad at a great age.

"I hope to have Sam available for selection on Saturday and look forward to integrating him into the squad."
