HUNTLY Nordic Ski Club is set to host the fourth race in the 2023 Scottish Roller Ski Championship Series this weekend.
The event, held at Huntly Nordic and Outdoor Centre, will take place on Saturday, September 9, with racing to get underway at 10am.
The registration deadline for participants is 9am on Thursday, September 7, with no registrations on the day.
There are a variety of categories of race: the senior/veteran race (7.1km); U18/U16 (5.1km); U14/U12 (3.5km); Intermediate course (2km) and the novice flat course (1.2km).
Spectators are welcome to head along and support local skiers at the event as they compete against skiers from across the country.
For those unfamiliar with roller ski, the sport is essentially the off-snow equivalent of cross-country skiing – with roller skis with wheels worn by competitors, who use poles similar to the those seen in skiing.
