The result cost Clach manager Jordan MacDonald his job, as his departure from the Grant Street Park hotseat was confirmed the following day.

Andy Hunter netted three, Buckie loan defender Sam Morrison put through his own goal and strikes by Lewis Crosbie, Alex Thoirs, Brodie Allen (pen) and Michael Dangana completed the rout.

Buckie weren't far behind on the scoring front, six different players contributing to their 6-0 demolition of Nairn County at Victoria Park.

Josh Peters, Jack MacIver and a first Jags goal for Dale Wood had the home side 3-0 up at the break.

Max Barry, Scott Adams and Marcus Goodall added to the Buckie tally after the interval.

The derby clash at North Lodge Park proved eventful with two red cards, six goals and a missed penalty in Formartine United's clash with Turriff United.

John Allan gave Turriff the lead, with Turriff keeper David Dey then saving a Paul Campbell penalty before Adam Emslie levelled two minutes later.

Ewan Clark regained the Turriff advantage and Formartine had defdner Kieran Adams sent off shortly before Clark made it 3-1 from the penalty spot.

Aaron Norris pulled one back on 83 minutes and Turriff double scorer Clark was sent off but Owen Kinsella netted in time added on to seal a 4-2 win for the visitors.

In the Highland League Cup, Keith's semi-final trip to Brora Rangers was postponed due to a road traffic accident on the A9 which closed the road. Wick Academy's journey to Strathspey Thistle in the league was also called off as a result of the accident.

The other semi-final did take place at Brechin City and it was away side Fraserburgh who booked their place in the final.

Logan Watt's first half goal had Broch ahead, but Brechin levelled through Fraser Macleod despite having Euan Spark sent off just after the break.

Ryan Sargent fired home what proved to be the winner for Fraserburgh just after the hour.
