BANKS o' Dee won a dramatic Morrison Motors (Turriff) Aberdeenshire Shield final on penalties to deny Huntly a first trophy in 14 years.
Huntly looked on course to end their long silverware wait when they led 2-0 after an hour of the final at Inverurie's Harlaw Park.
North junior Superleague Dee hit back with three goals in a ten-minute spell to lead, only for Huntly to net late on and force the shoot-out.
Buchan missed Huntly's first kick and Banks o' Dee scored all five of their penalties to claim the trophy - and an Aberdeenshire trophy double following their success in this season's Aberdeenshire Cup.
It was Buchan who struck from distance to give the Highland League side the lead inside the opening 15 minutes.
It got even better for the big Huntly support when recent signing Robbie Foster netted from close range on the hour.
Banks o' Dee brought on Lachie MacLeod as sub at this stage and it proved to be a turning point in the final.
Within moments, Dee skipper Kane Winton fired his team back in the game and when MacLeod forced in a corner it was suddenly 2-2.
On 70 minutes the Aberdonians took the lead for the first time, sub MacLeod again on target to floor Huntly.
However the Christie Park men refused to give in and were rewarded with an 82nd minute Michael Clark header to once more restore parity.
Another Banks o' Dee substitute, Craig Macaskill was shown a straight red card for a late challenge but Huntly were given little time to capitalise on having an extra man.
The final went straight to penalties and Mark Gilmour netted Dee's first effort while Buchan's opener for Huntly was saved by keeper Lee Sweeney.
Rob Armstrong, MacLeod and Cameron Beattie scored the next three Banks o' Dee penalties and Michael Dangana, Kyle Dalling and Clark did the same for Huntly.
That left Marc Young to step up and net Dee's fifth kick and seal the junior side's glory.
