The Jags romped to a comfortable 4-0 success at Inverurie Locos, and Stewart felt his team could have scored more.

Kyle MacLeod's early strike set the visitors up nicely before fine finishes from outside the box by Josh Peters and Cohen Ramsay effectively wrapped up the three points by half time.

Sam Urquhart's acrobatic finish on 59 minutes completed the scoring with Locos keeper Andy Reid and the woodwork saving the home side on several occasions.

"Their goalie got man of the match. I thought t was going to be a very close game," Stewart said.

"We’ve got seven boys out and four or five have been starting every game.

"But we were outstanding. Seven or eight would have been fair.

"We hit the woodwork at least twice, maybe three times. Their goalie pulled off three or four outstanding saves and we should have done better with a couple of one-on-ones.

"I’m not disappointed with a 4-0 but it would have been nice to get a few more."

Jags captain Kevin Fraser could be out long-term with a groin injury while Ryan Fyffe, Sam Morrison, Scott Adams, Max Barry and Marcus Goodall are all on the road to recovery.

Biggest scorers of the day were rejuvenated Rothes with a 6-1 success at home to Turriff United - see Ewan Malcolm's match report.

Brora Rangers' 100 per cent record was ended by a 2-1 defeat at Formartine United - see David Porter's match report.

And Keith came from behind to defeat hosts Forres Mechanics 2-1 - see Charlie Simpson's match report.

Lossiemouth's three-match winning run was ended by Brechin City, who have now won 17 Highland League matches in a row after their 3-0 success at Glebe Park.

Grady McGrath, Anthony McDonald and Fraser Macleod all scored within the opening half hour for the on-form City.

The Angus side had Seth Patrick sent off in the second half, with Lossie also finishing with ten men when Ryan Farquhar saw red.

Huntly grabbed their first league win of the season, Gavin Elphinstone's early strike enough to see off Deveronvale at Christie Park.

Strathspey Thistle were close to getting their first victory when they led hosts Wick Academy through Liam Taylor's goal shortly after half time.

Jags still led until the closing ten minutes when Gordon MacNab levelled, and Mark Macadie broke Strathspey hearts with a stoppage time winner.

Two goals in a minute just before the interval set Banks O' Dee up for a 2-1 success at home to Clach.

Neil Gauld and Mark Gilmour delivered the double blow to Invernessian hopes, with Connor Bunce pulling one back but Dee held on for the win.

Champions Fraserburgh good run continued with a 4-0 win at Nairn County. Two penalties helped them on the way with Scott Barbour and Paul Campbell converting, while Kieran Simpson and Logan Watt were also on target.
