Grampian Kart Club unveil race dates for 61st year of high-speed action at Boyndie Drome

It was back in 1962 when racing enthusiasts formed the Banff and Moray Kart Club at Boyndie Drome circuit, just off the A97 between Portsoy and Banff.

The club soon became known as the Grampian Kart Club and next weekend it will begin its 61st year of thrills and spills at the Banffshire venue.

GKC has announced their monthly race meets for the 2024 season, with the big event on July 14 when it hosts the second round of the ASKC (Association of Scottish Kart Clubs) Scottish Super Series, which starts in Golspie and later makes it way to Crail and Larkhall.

Also, the club championships return with five rounds contested and four scores counting towards the overall rankings.

Two Motorsport UK (MSUK) meetings come to Banffshire with the Gold Cup on June 9 and the Northern Challenge on September 8.

April 14: Boyndie Drome Open Challenge Round 2

May 12: Boyndie Drome Open Challenge Round 3

June 9: MSUK Gold Cup

July 14: MSUK-SSS- Championship Round 3

August 11: Boyndie Drome Open Challenge Round 4

September 8: MSUK Northern Challenge

October 13: Boyndie Drome Open Challenge Round 5
