Garioch’s Banks family bowlers are back in action

The Banks family bowlers are back in action this weeks as Garioch are in three Scottish semi-finals at Perth writes Mike Barron.

They appear in the semi-final of the Scottish Ladies Pairs, Mixed Pairs and Gents Fours.

The Ladies Pairs semi final is Angela & Carla Banks v Sharon Leitch and Lorraine Craig (Balbardie) who are the current holders. The winners of this tie meet Blantyre or Headwell. The tie is at 9.30am on Saturday, March 30..

The Mixed Pairs sees Colin and Carla Banks v Eilidh Weir and Billy Guy (Stirling). Waiting are the winners from Tweedbank or Blantyre. The latter field Caroline Brown and Iain McLean who must be favourites for the title. The semi-final is at 6.30pm on Friday 29.

The Gents Fours has Colin Banks, Mike Collister, Lee Mair and Jason Banks who meet West Lothian (Bryan Cooper, Jamie Edwards, James Speirs and Neil Speirs). The winner meets either East Kilbride or East Lothian. The semi ties are played at 2pm on Saturday 30.

All finals take place on Sunday 31 at Perth Indoor Bowling Club.
