Garioch bowling duo reach Scottish Ladies Pairs semi-final

Angela and Carla Banks have reached the semi-final of Scottish Ladies Pairs at Stonehaven (Sunday) writes Mike Barron.
The Garioch pair beat Buchan 25-11, and now meet Balbardie at Perth at end of March.
The other semi-final is between Headwell and Blantyre
The match against Buchan was an example of some fine leading from Angela, and outstanding drawing from Carla when required.
They started well being 3-0 at 2nd end. Throughout the first half of the match Buchan were always struggling to score.

However, they could not compete with the Banks pair. At end 15 the score was 21-6, and the game was virtually over. It appeared Garioch relaxed, as the final ends were even, with Garioch getting over the line 25-11.
Garioch had beaten Perth 17-16 and a great victory over Aberdeen 21-6 Buchan had an excellent tournament having 3 fixtures.
They had high scoring matches beating Forfar 26-10, Fraserburgh 25-5 and Turriff 22-13.
