Ellon United lose out to Buchanhaven Hearts early lead

Ellon United welcomed Buchanhaven Hearts to the Meadows for their latest home game.

The match kicked oof slowly with the opposition having most of the possession. 20 minutes in the visitors opened the scoring after a deflected free kick eluded the keeper in the far corner. The remainder of the half played out much in the same vein with the away side looking more likely to score

The second half go under way and with both teams playing better more chances were created at both ends. It was the visitors though increased their lead after a mistake in Ellon’s defence leading to the striker nipping in to make it 0-2. Ellon did score from the left side ten minutes later after a deflected shot wrong footed the keeper to make it 1-2. The remainder of the half was played out in a scrappy manner with the away side holding on to the win.
