Ellon United and Hermes share the spoils in draw

Ellon United welcomed Hermes in their penultimate match of the season which saw the first half begin at a decent pace.

A hard fought half saw both teams with chances. The home side had the best opportunities but failed to trouble the goalkeeper.

The second half started in the same vein with both teams fighting hard in the middle of the pitch.

At 20 minutes in the away side were reduced to 10 men for a second bookable offence.

Ellon took advantage of the extra man and with 20 minutes to go, they took the lead following a set piece.

Five minutes later, the away side were reduced to nine men, again for a second bookable offence.

Ellon created a few more good chances but failed to add to the scoring.

Next to be sent off was the visiting manager. The away side got a free kick on the last minute which they converted to give them an undeserved point with the final score 1-1.
