And it's a second deal with Premiership side Aberdeen to bring in one of their talented prospects.

Defender Blair McKenzie (17) joins attacker Liam Harvey in joining City from the Dons, initially on a deal until January.

Elgin manager Ross Draper also brought in midfielder Ryan MacLeman from Ross County on a loan deal this week.

Big stopper McKenzie arrived at Aberdeen from Edinburgh outfit Hutchison Vale and can play on the left side or centre of defence.

See interview with the young Don on Aberdeen's website.

McKenzie, Harvey and Macleman could all come into contention for competitive City debuts tomorrow when Motherwell come to Borough Briggs for the opening Viaplay Cup match of their group.

City also play East Fife away on Tuesday, host Queen of the South a week on Saturday and travel to Queen's park the following midweek.
