Elgin City booked their place in the draw after a 3-1 win over Stenhousemuir last night.

Buckie Thistle could join them if they defeat Brora Rangers in an all-Highland League tie at Victoria Park tonight.

A third Highland League side, Brechin City play host to Stirling Albion tonight.

The third round takes place on the weekend of September 24/25 with four cross-border clubs and all ten Championship sides entering Monday's draw.

The New Saints and Caernarfon Town, from the JD Cymru Premier in Wales, and Linfield and Cliftonville, from the Danske Bank Premiership in Northern Ireland, will take part in this year’s tournament.

The likes of Championship sides Caley Thistle and Dundee would also be seen as a lucrative draw for the north sides.

Round four will take place on the weekend of December 10/11, followed by the quarter-finals on the weekend of January 7/8, and the semi-finals on the weekend of February 4/5 or midweek of February 7/8. The final takes place on a provisional date of March 25/26.
