Auchnagatt Barons AFC were left disappointed after a 3-5 defeat by Glendale Youth AFC at the weekend.

At half time the score was one all, with the first goal coming from the opposition's number 10 before Barons picked up the pace and Lucas Warren was able to even the playing field.

This momentum wouldn't continue in the second half, however, despite the Barons' best efforts.

Early into the second half the home side were knocked back by a corner from Glendale, which was quickly followed by another successful goal for the opposing team.

Frustrations grew as the away side managed to make it 1-4 after a failed attempt by the home team.

A change of strategy seemed to pay off when Barons' Ryan Bonner was able to smash the ball into the top right corner, followed five minutes later by an almost identical goal from team mate Stuart Sherwood bringing the score to 3-4.

Alas it wasn't meant to be as the home side got hit with a penalty and a last minute sub from the opposition was able to score before the final whistle, bringing the match's final goal count to eight.
